A trip to Sydney is only complete with a stay at The Macleay Hotel and these destinations.

When bringing the whole family on holiday, it can be challenging to satisfy everyone’s interests. And let’s face it, once the complaining starts, it can be hard to stop. Fortunately for you, a break in Sydney has a little something for everyone!

Begin by getting the hotel right. Accommodations at The Macleay Hotel are perfect for all ages. Cosy beds, amazing views of the harbour and city and an outdoor pool, what more could you ask for? After you’re settled in your room, check out to these family friendly destinations.

Taronga Zoo

Who doesn’t love a day at the zoo? If you’re from out of the area – or even out of the country, even – it will be even more exciting to see the animals that aren’t native to your local zoo. Come explore and see the Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroo, a Tasmanian Devil or the infamous, cuddly koala. It’ll be hard to leave their sweet faces behind, but certainly worth the trip nonetheless.

Royal Botanic Garden

The rolling beautiful greens of the Royal Botanic Garden make for an idyllic family outing. Overlooking the Sydney Harbour, this amazing garden has collected some beautiful flora from around the world. The whimsy of being around exotic plants is thrilling for all ages. It’s also a great spot for a family picture you can use as your holiday cards this year. Better yet, these lovely gardens are a short five minute drive, or twenty minute walk from The Macleay Hotel. Score!

Sea Life Sydney Aquarium

No trip would be complete without a stop at Sydney’s famous Sea Life Aquarium. When you go visit, you absolutely must ride the boat with the glass bottom. This unique boat ride will be the highlight of your holiday – especially if a shark makes an appearance. And, there’s a good chance one will if you’re on the feeding trip, because those passengers get to witness the sharks up close!

Sydney Olympic Park

Do you have a budding Olympian in your midst? Then visiting the home of the 2000 Olympic Games will be quite a thrill for them! There are tons of fun things to do around the park grounds, including tours of the facilities, sports lessons and, if you’re lucky, there might even be an event or two to watch!

Choosing Sydney for your next family getaway was clearly a great decision, but you’ll also find that choosing to stay at The Macleay Hotel will be the cherry on top of a perfect trip!
